I had some gift certificates saved up and figured I'd augment my Rock Band setup a bit; I simply couldn't find the right height with a standard chair and various combinations of pillows and things. I looked at some of the thrones that were available and decided to try the Roc-N-Soc Nitro.



It's been exactly what I needed. It's very easy to assemble and adjust, and "drumming" is much easier now that I can sit at just the right height. (It's also easier to swap out drummers during a long session, because we don't have to worry as much about the height of the drums themselves.)



If you're willing to spend a little money for a good throne, you'll get what you want with the Roc-N-Soc Nitro.

I thought about a Pork Pie but I wanted to have the option to add a backrest in the future when I bought this seat last year. Well I bought the backrest last week and man am I glad I made that decision. What can I say it is perfect, just make sure one of the legs is directly behind you when using the backrest.......Trust me on this one : )

Positives: Completely height adjustable--does not use "bolt-thru-hole" for height settings so you can adjust height to exactly what you need. Once you set it, it locks into place--I'm a fairly big guy (250 lbs) and it hasn't slipped on me at all. The seat will swivel as well, but doesn't "wobble" which is nice. For the price, it is a quality piece of equipment.

Only Negative: The seat could be a bit more comfortable--better padded I guess--Pearl makes one that uses "memory foam" but its considerably more expensive.

This stool is built like it was meant for field work in the Army. There's not a cheap part within 10 miles of this thing. The seat is not the most comfortable thing I've ever sat on, but it's decent. Main thing is that it's sturdy and supports my 225 lb frame with ease. Height is very easy to adjust, and it holds it's position with no problem.

This is one of the most confortable thrones I've owned, and I doubt if I'll ever switch brands or models.



First, this is an infinitely adjustable style throne versus the type where you adjust it using a bolt and spaced holes. This one is adjustable to virtually any fraction of an inch, and more importatly, the seat is big, cushioned and comfortable.



Another nice touch is the memory lock that allows you to quickly find your best setting. If you do multiple gigs this single feature will save a lot of time in the long run (not to mention your back and posterior!)



DW makes great, well designed hardware - always with working drummers in mind - and this throne is yet another example to their committment to quality and excellence.

I'm not the smallest guy, and this throne seems rock solid and somewhat comfortable. Accommodates a large range of heights, height stop requires a drum key (square socket). Only complaint is that bolt holding the seat to the post loosens up occasionally, resulting in some squeaking.

I bought this as a replacement / upgrade to my son's drum set. I got him the set when he was 13 years old. He is now 15 and as tall as me! He plays his drums every day and his old throne was wearing out. The other big problem was that it was too short for him.



This throne from Pearl is nice. Heavy weight and it stands a lot taller than his old seat. It stays right where you set it (height wise) and is comfortable to sit on for long sessions.



Could it be better? Yes, a little more padding would be nice and he may want a saddle shaped seat next time but that is a personal preference.



I would buy it again. Great seat for the money.

Indeed, it is probably the only such throne from a major manufacturer like Pearl in this range. It is heavy-duty and of the highest quality. There is no slip once you adjust your height and lock it in. The memory lock is a wonderful feature to allow you to quickly set up this throne night after night and get your exact height setting each time within less than a minute.
