I first bought one of these heads about 3 years ago when our local shop was out of the Remo Controlled Sound heads. This head and the Hazy 300 caused me to eventually switch all my heads over to Evans. Evans products are top notch and I have been thoroughly impressed with all the various heads I have used from them over the last couple of years.

I find that the Evans coating lasts much longer than the Remo coating and their heads seem to stay in tune longer for me. I also find that their snare heads seem to retain a little more give/bounce in them over the Remo heads which to me feel a little more rigid/plastic like.

The Power Center head has been my main snare head for most of my snare drums. It makes my 70's Acrolite sound amazing and is working well in a Peal Master Works snare I recently purchased. I'm still using a few Remo Ambassador and Emperor heads on a couple other snares but I'm eventually going to try the Evans equivalent and see if there is any noticeable difference.

I highly recommend this or any Evans head. Try them out and see for yourself.

I've used this head on my Ludwig Acrolite 14" Snare for about 5 years now with exceptional results. The REVERSE POWER dot is on the underside of the head allowing for intricate brush work. Don't be afraid to crank it down to get that "CRACK" sound! Very, very durable head. If you're looking for a more sensitive feel then look elsewhere. This head is very versatile (from gospel, jazz, country, rock etc...). I'm a heavy hitter. This head performs well under extreme tension. Pick up an Evans 300 Hazy and you're set!

I had some gift certificates saved up and figured I'd augment my Rock Band setup a bit; I simply couldn't find the right height with a standard chair and various combinations of pillows and things. I looked at some of the thrones that were available and decided to try the Roc-N-Soc Nitro.



It's been exactly what I needed. It's very easy to assemble and adjust, and "drumming" is much easier now that I can sit at just the right height. (It's also easier to swap out drummers during a long session, because we don't have to worry as much about the height of the drums themselves.)



If you're willing to spend a little money for a good throne, you'll get what you want with the Roc-N-Soc Nitro.

I thought about a Pork Pie but I wanted to have the option to add a backrest in the future when I bought this seat last year. Well I bought the backrest last week and man am I glad I made that decision. What can I say it is perfect, just make sure one of the legs is directly behind you when using the backrest.......Trust me on this one : )
