I got these in an effort to try out some new sticks to find my playing style in PS3 Rock Band Games. I will say after reading much reviews at traditional online music suppliers, they are really impressive. I have not had the rubber bottom fall out yet, although there are lots of reports online of that. But then again, I'm not trying to be a professional drummer here. The drop in reverberation and improved stabilization (due to the hollowed out end and rubber plugs) in combination with the right resistance and kick back from the electric drum pad is stellar and I can see how these would reduce wrist fatigue when used for a long period of time. I went with the 7a stick to try it out and I like the slender grip. The warped sticks that came with the Rock band game were 5a's so it was nice to see what a change in diameter of the stick would feel like. While I don't have a professional opinion, if I had to do it again, I think with larger hands like mine the 5a's diameter will go over better than the slender size of the 7a's.

I actually used these to replace the crappy, warped drumsticks from Rock Band 1. For Rock Band, the nylon tips don't matter. I just thought it looked pretty cool. It's great quality and they are not warped! I don't play real drums so hopefully someone who does will write a better review.

As the other reviewer said, this tape doesn't use an adhesive substance or anything, it is just a rubbery mesh that only sticks to itself. Therefore, it doesn't stick to drumsticks all that well. Even if you wrap it really tight on the stick, it will still slide up and down the stick a little as you play. It's not that big a deal, it just may get annoying after a while. Other than the sliding, this tape is great. It gives a really good grip. Also, since the tape doesn't use an adhesive, it is reusable, though it may wear down after long use. The roll it comes with is also a great value. It seems there's enough tape to cover at least 20 sticks.



Overall a great value, if you don't mind a little sliding.

This was a great buy. I play congas, and was getting tired of using adhesive tape sticking to my fingers and anything else available. This tape does not use a sticky adhesive material. It is very easy to apply, and extremly comfortable.

These are some of the most interesting, different heads I've used. They appears to be clear at first glance, but actually they have several "bubbles" all over the surface. I must clarify, they are not actual bubbles that are raised at all; the surface is smooth as any drumhead. There are just some air pockets in the oil layer between the plies, which is intentional and is not a defect. Weird, but not a bad thing. The sound? Warm, with short sustain. Remo Diplomats these are most definitely not. Almost a "thick" sound, IMO. Very 70's arena rock. Though I like the sound, I found it was a bit hard to get a definite tuning pitch. On the upside, however, I found that I didn't need to use Moongels, O-Rings, or any other dampener on my toms. Another plus: they are tough as nails. I've beat the crap out of these heads and they still sound the same as day one. Jazzers should stay away, but for rock, blues, and bar band drummers, these heads are great.

I first bought one of these heads about 3 years ago when our local shop was out of the Remo Controlled Sound heads. This head and the Hazy 300 caused me to eventually switch all my heads over to Evans. Evans products are top notch and I have been thoroughly impressed with all the various heads I have used from them over the last couple of years.

I find that the Evans coating lasts much longer than the Remo coating and their heads seem to stay in tune longer for me. I also find that their snare heads seem to retain a little more give/bounce in them over the Remo heads which to me feel a little more rigid/plastic like.

The Power Center head has been my main snare head for most of my snare drums. It makes my 70's Acrolite sound amazing and is working well in a Peal Master Works snare I recently purchased. I'm still using a few Remo Ambassador and Emperor heads on a couple other snares but I'm eventually going to try the Evans equivalent and see if there is any noticeable difference.

I highly recommend this or any Evans head. Try them out and see for yourself.

I've used this head on my Ludwig Acrolite 14" Snare for about 5 years now with exceptional results. The REVERSE POWER dot is on the underside of the head allowing for intricate brush work. Don't be afraid to crank it down to get that "CRACK" sound! Very, very durable head. If you're looking for a more sensitive feel then look elsewhere. This head is very versatile (from gospel, jazz, country, rock etc...). I'm a heavy hitter. This head performs well under extreme tension. Pick up an Evans 300 Hazy and you're set!

I had some gift certificates saved up and figured I'd augment my Rock Band setup a bit; I simply couldn't find the right height with a standard chair and various combinations of pillows and things. I looked at some of the thrones that were available and decided to try the Roc-N-Soc Nitro.



It's been exactly what I needed. It's very easy to assemble and adjust, and "drumming" is much easier now that I can sit at just the right height. (It's also easier to swap out drummers during a long session, because we don't have to worry as much about the height of the drums themselves.)



If you're willing to spend a little money for a good throne, you'll get what you want with the Roc-N-Soc Nitro.
