Another reviewer liked this Gibralter stick holder much more than the pro mark stick depot, so i decided to give it a try. What can i say? I was impressed. The actual material is very sturdy and durable. I can expect a good long life from this product, and that's perfectly fine with me, of course. It does not slip down the stand at all, and holds lots of sticks.



Overall, a very reliable and useful stick holder. The major drawbacks became apparant after a lot of use. For one, I don't really have 20 sticks to jam in the bag, so I end up with only a few sticks floating around in the bag, which can prove to be a little unpractical. They are harder to grab and hop around a little every time I use my hi-hat pedal. The other problem is the fact that you can't angle it towards you, so access is slightly awkward. I know after reading that, you'll probably be thinking, "Man what's with the complaining? That's not such a big deal." But it really starts to get to you after you use it extensively.



So the final verdict? I would definitely recommend that you buy this if you need a stick holder, but be sure you can deal with these little annoyances. This is definitely much better than the pro mark depot, which i tried as well. That one is great at first but slips down more and more often with time. With this, you are guarenteed quality, extensive use, and overall reliance.

I've used a number of different stick holders, each with limitations. Some held a single pair, others clamped onto a stand, but the clamp would slip, either getting in your way, or placing the sticks out of reach when you most needed them (usually right after they had slipped beyond reach).



This holder stays put, is durable, and can hold at least a dozen pairs of sticks.



Be aware that if you use different size sticks during a gig you will be fumbling around, but if you routinely use a single stick size this holder is excellent.
